Very Rare And Extraordinary Satinwood Console Table From Empire / Charles X , Paris 1820/30

Extraordinary console table from the Empire / Charles X period. This satinwood console table represents the period between the Empire and the beginning of Charles X. On the base there is a large inlay decoration in Charles X style. However, the form is very strict and reduced. The frame is set on Carrrara marble columns with gilt bronze belts. It is decorated with a central fitting in gilded bronze flanked by biscuit porcellaine plaques, probably from the Sèvres manufacture. On the plaques there are the silhuettes of Charles Ferdinand de Bourbon and his wife Maria Carolina, Princess of Bourbon-Sicily, Duchess of Berry. Everything is mounted on chain. Paris around 1820/30
