Unexceptional crater vase with mythological decoration, Italy 1850
Unusually large crater with extensive depictions of Greek mythology. Light ceramic in terracotta color with ebonized paint. Two protruding volute handles adorn the sides. The size of this crater is exceptionally rare, as is the composition of light colors with the extensive narrative representations. Italy, probably Naples around 1850
