A pair of superb Charles X sconces in gilt bronze, Paris, about 1830
These extremely fine sconces are post-chiselled and gilded with mercury. A massive wall plate decorated with floral motifs supports the arm of the candelabrum which protrudes widely and which in turn carries three arms in the shape of a cornucopia. In the center it is surmounted by a multi-tiered socket. The wall lights are very representative and extremely heavy. It is certainly a Parisian production of the 1830s. The sconces were electrified and still have remnants of the old assembly, which can be removed on request, HD photos are available
